Austrains DL Class Diesel Loco

Update - 2-June-2010: It’s amazing what turns up when you start to move your stock around.

We had several hundred cartons stored in my daughters huge suburban garage. Recently she and her husband bought 61 hectares somewhere the other side of Woop Woop and informed us that we were being evicted until such time as we pay for a glossy new storage shed to be built on the new property. During the move we uncovered 7 cartons of DL 43 in AN Green with Yellow bogies.

Now if we had known about these for the last eighteen months they would have sold a few times over. So, here is your last chance, the last remaining DL’s with Grey roof and Yellow bogies.

First in first served. $260.00 + $11.00 reg. post.

DL Class Prototype Information

The DL Class Diesel Electric locomotive started life as a Australian National railways locomotive, introduced into service in 1988. They are a Co-Co bogie arranged locomotive, with 15 members in the class. The DL class produces 3300hp out of the 12 Cylinder EMD 12-710G3 engine.

The DL Class made appearances on the major "named" passenger trains, such as the Indian Pacific and Ghan. They also feature on inter-capital freight trains, now normally relegated to being a non-leading loco.
